Revanth Reddy Challenges KCR to Debate on Social Justice in September Assembly Session

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday challenged former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and BRS leaders to a debate on social justice, welfare, and development during the upcoming Telangana Legislative Assembly session in September.
Addressing public meetings in the Mulugu and Parkal assembly constituencies, Revanth Reddy called upon the public to compare his administration's governance with that of the previous nearly 10-year Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regime. He stated that the Congress government was delivering "social justice," whereas the former chief minister had dispensed "family justice" that benefited only his relatives.
Revanth Reddy extended the challenge for an open debate to KCR, former minister KT Rama Rao, and T Harish Rao. He stated that the Congress government's 'praja palana' (people's rule) was designed to support all sections of society, particularly farmers, women, youth, the unemployed, and the poor.
Contrasting his administration with the previous BRS government, Revanth Reddy pointed to key political appointments. He noted that while KCR appointed his son KTR and son-in-law Harish Rao as cabinet ministers, the Congress government appointed D Seethakka from the ST community and Konda Surekha from the BC community to ministerial posts. He added that while KCR gave a ministerial portfolio to Errabelli Dayakar Rao, his administration inducted Adluri Laxman Kumar from the SC community and Mohammed Azharuddin representing minorities.
The Chief Minister also compared legislative appointments, stating that KCR made his daughter an MP and later an MLC after an electoral loss, while the Congress facilitated Kavya, an SC leader, becoming an MP and Yashaswini Reddy becoming an MLA. Furthermore, he noted that while KCR made his relative Santosh an MP, he gave a Rajya Sabha seat to his friend Vem Narender Reddy.
Revanth Reddy highlighted that KCR had appointed Vinod Rao as vice-chairperson of the Planning Commission, whereas the Congress government awarded an MLC post to JAC leader M Kodandaram. He also mentioned that while KTR was appointed working president under the BRS regime, Mahesh Goud from the BC community was appointed as the Pradesh Congress Committee president.
Targeting KTR, the Chief Minister claimed that while he treats minister Seethakka as his sister despite having no blood relation, the BRS working president had driven his own sister, K Kavitha, out of the house over property disputes. Revanth Reddy also made indirect allegations against Harish Rao regarding rituals against the state government, affirming that his administration would continue advancing welfare plans for farmers, youth, women, and the poor.
