Nitish Kumar Reddy Trains With Andhra Premier League Players

HYDERABAD — Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has commenced training with players participating in the upcoming Andhra Premier League, the Andhra Cricket Association announced.
The local star, who recently represented Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2026 season where the franchise was eliminated in the playoffs, joined practice sessions to help local players prepare for the state league. The Andhra Premier League, which is organized by the Andhra Cricket Association, is scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 30, 2026, across three different venues in Andhra Pradesh.
Although Reddy is a key part of the local build-up, he will not be able to participate in the actual tournament matches. Due to his national team commitments, Reddy will be with the Indian squad during the match days, making him unavailable for the league's fixtures.
Despite his unavailability for the games, the Andhra Cricket Association emphasized that his active involvement in the training camp has been highly beneficial. In a media release, the association stated that Reddy demonstrated strong commitment and teamwork during his time in the practice sessions.
According to the association, Reddy practiced directly alongside his league teammates. During these sessions, he offered valuable experience and mentorship, which the organization noted has significantly enhanced the squad's overall preparedness.
The Andhra Cricket Association expressed its gratitude to national team players who support local cricket development. The association stated that it is particularly grateful to India stars like Reddy for their active support.
The organization added that Reddy's collaboration with the Andhra Cricket Association, along with his visible encouragement for the league, has successfully boosted local interest in the upcoming event. Furthermore, his presence in the training camps has served to inspire young cricketers across the state of Andhra Pradesh.
