The Chennai Shopping Mall Donates ALS Ambulance to NIMS Hyderabad

On May 31, 2026, The Chennai Shopping Mall donated a fully equipped Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), located in Hyderabad. The contribution was made to strengthen the emergency healthcare services and patient transportation facilities available to the local community in the region.
The donation was facilitated by prominent local youth organizations in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Youth Round Table 304 (HYRT 304) and the Hyderabad Youth Ladies Circle 167 (HYLC 167) organized the initiative as part of their community service activities. These efforts were conducted under their designated annual theme, "Rise & Shine."
The provision of the advanced medical vehicle was made possible through the direct support of senior leadership at The Chennai Shopping Mall. Chairman Marri Venkat Reddy, Chief Executive Officer Shankar, and Chief Financial Officer Sanjay Heda backed the initiative as part of their organization's commitment to strengthening public healthcare services for the community.
A formal ceremony was held at the institute to hand over the ambulance. Representatives of The Chennai Shopping Mall, alongside members of Round Table India and Ladies Circle India, presented the vehicle to the Director of NIMS, Dr. N. Bheerappa, and a team of senior doctors from the hospital.
According to an official press release from the institute, the newly donated ALS ambulance is fully equipped to handle critical care transit. The addition of this emergency vehicle will significantly enhance the hospital's patient transportation capabilities, thereby directly benefiting a large number of patients seeking treatment at NIMS.
Following the handover, Dr. Bheerappa and the medical staff at NIMS expressed their gratitude to the leadership of The Chennai Shopping Mall for the donation, noting that the contribution will play a significant role in supporting the hospital's public healthcare mission.
