TGSRTC Ends Summer Discount on Metro Deluxe and AC Buses in Hyderabad

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced the conclusion of its special summer discount scheme within the Greater Hyderabad limits. Regular ticket fares for Metro Deluxe and AC bus services are set to resume on June 1, 2026, following the official end of the seasonal concession period on May 31, 2026.

The announcement, made on May 30, 2026, details the end of a three-month concession period that was active across the city's transport network. TGSRTC had introduced the temporary summer discount to make comfortable AC travel more affordable for commuters during the peak summer months of March, April, and May.

With the conclusion of the promotional period on May 31, 2026, passengers utilizing the Metro Deluxe and AC bus services will return to paying the standard, regular fares starting June 1, 2026.

TGSRTC officials clarified that the resumption of standard fares does not constitute a new fare hike for commuters in Greater Hyderabad. According to the corporation, the pre-discount fare structure is simply coming back into effect as scheduled. The change represents only the withdrawal of the temporary seasonal discount that was active over the three-month summer period.

The special discount scheme was specifically designed to ease the financial burden of transit for passengers seeking air-conditioned travel options during the hottest months of the year. With the end of May, the promotional window closes, and the standard pricing model will be restored across all applicable routes in the Greater Hyderabad region.

Commuters traveling on Metro Deluxe and AC buses within the Greater Hyderabad limits are advised to note the restoration of the regular fare structure as they plan their travel starting June 1, 2026. The transition will ensure the return of the pre-discount fare structure for all passengers using these specific categories of bus services.
