Telangana Extends Indiramma Houses Application Deadline To August 15

The Telangana Housing Department has extended the deadline for submitting applications for Indiramma Houses in the CURE area to August 15. Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced the extension in Hyderabad, moving the cutoff from the previous date of August 10 to give residents extra time to complete their submissions across 16 constituencies.

Minister Reddy stated that the decision to extend the timeline was taken after reviewing requests from various sections of society. The government acted to prevent inconvenience to applicants following a period of consecutive holidays, which included the second Saturday and the Bonalu festival.

The project currently under way serves as a pilot initiative covering 7,340 houses across 16 constituencies. Applications for the scheme originally opened on July 21, with citizens being provided multiple submission channels including Mee-Seva centres, designated online portals, and the Mee-Seva WhatsApp service.

According to data from the Housing Department, the initiative has drawn widespread public response. A total of 46,121 applications had been officially registered by August 10 prior to the announcement of the five-day extension.
