36 passengers escaped unhurt as Hyderabad-Kakinada bus caught fire in Nalgonda

A private travel bus transporting 36 passengers from Hyderabad to Kakinada caught fire on Saturday, May 30, 2026, near Peddakaparthi village in Nalgonda district. All 36 passengers, along with the driver and the cleaner of the vehicle, were safely evacuated and escaped the incident entirely unhurt before the bus was completely gutted and destroyed by the fire.
The vehicle was on its way from Hyderabad to Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh when the incident occurred. Upon reaching Peddakaparthi village, which is situated in the Chityala mandal of Nalgonda district, a fire suddenly started in the bus. The sudden appearance of flames prompted the bus crew to take immediate emergency measures.
The driver and the cleaner of the private travel bus immediately swung into action to ensure the safety of everyone on board. They worked quickly to de-board all 36 passengers. Their prompt and coordinated efforts ensured that every single passenger was evacuated from the vehicle before the fire could spread further.
Shortly after the passengers and crew members successfully exited, the fire spread rapidly and engulfed the entire vehicle. The private travel bus was completely gutted by the fire. A fire tender from the local fire station quickly reached the spot of the incident and successfully doused the flames.
Investigating officials who arrived at the scene suspect that the fire might have started due to an electrical short circuit. Thanks to the quick response of the driver and the cleaner, there were no casualties or injuries reported, and all 36 passengers, the driver, and the cleaner escaped the burning bus safely.
