Woman From Suryapet Protests Outside Telangana Assembly Over Brick Lorry Curbs

Mild commotion broke out outside the Telangana Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad on Wednesday, September 9, when a woman from Suryapet staged a protest alleging harassment by the police.

The woman demonstrated near the Assembly premises to highlight difficulties faced by brick suppliers. She stated that police personnel were preventing lorries carrying bricks from entering the city.

According to the protester, the police curbs also stopped the lorries from parking and selling their loads. She alleged that these ongoing restrictions were causing significant hardship to brick suppliers trying to conduct their trade.

Demanding that authorities intervene to address the issue, she sought government action against the curbs imposed on lorry movements and sales.

Police personnel deployed on security duty near the Assembly quickly intervened to bring the demonstration to an end. Officers whisked the woman away from the spot and shifted her to a nearby police station.
