Vaishali Nagar Underpass Traffic Advisory Extended Till Sept 16 in Hyderabad

Traffic restrictions around the Vaishali Nagar railway underpass within the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits have been extended until September 16 to facilitate ongoing road widening and storm water drainage works.

The underpass is narrow and has consistently been vulnerable to severe waterlogging during heavy rainfall. To prevent recurrent water accumulation and subsequent traffic disruptions during the monsoon season, civic authorities undertook road widening alongside the construction of a storm water drainage system.

The traffic advisory was initially issued for 20 days and later extended by 29 days with effect from July 16. However, delays in the progress of the construction meant the work could not be completed within the scheduled timeframe. Authorities have therefore added a further 14-day extension, running from September 3 to September 16, across surrounding roads and junctions.

Several vehicular diversions remain active during this period. Commuters travelling from My Home Mangala towards Hafeezpet via the Vaishali Nagar railway underpass must take a U-turn at the My Home Mangala T-junction towards Raghavendra Nagar Colony, turn left at the Raghavendra Nagar Colony junction onto the Hi-tension road, and turn left at the RTA office Kondapur to reach Hafeezpet via the Hafeezpet ROB.

Vehicles travelling from the Telangana Contractors Cultural Club towards the underpass are being diverted at the My Home Mangala T-junction towards Raghavendra Nagar Colony, taking the route via Raghavendra Nagar Colony junction, Hi-tension road, RTA office Kondapur, and the Hafeezpet ROB/Flyover to reach Hafeezpet and Allwyn Junction.

Traffic coming from the My Home Jewel rear gate and RTC Colony on Manjeera Pipeline road heading towards My Home Mangala is diverted along Pipeline road towards the Hafeezpet ROB/Flyover. Motorists must take a left turn near GENPACT to join the Kondapur-Allwyn Junction road, make a U-turn at the Government school, and use the Hafeezpet ROB/Flyover to proceed towards Kondapur and Raghavendra Nagar Colony.

Commuters heading from Vasavi Lake City and Hafeezpet Lake towards My Home Mangala or Raghavendra Nagar Colony are diverted at the Spire One Apartments U-turn towards the Hafeezpet ROB/Flyover, joining the Kondapur-Allwyn Junction road near GENPACT and taking the Government school U-turn.

Traffic coming from Gopal Nagar old Hafeezpet towards My Home Mangala must turn right at the Hafeezpet RUB/Underpass, join the Kondapur-Allwyn Junction road, make the Government school U-turn, and proceed via the Hafeezpet ROB/Flyover.
