Two Masked Youths Assault 19-Year-Old Student at Tara Degree College in Sangareddy

Two masked youths attacked a 19-year-old student inside the Sangareddy Government (Tara) Degree College premises in Sangareddy district on Thursday afternoon following a dispute over shared photographs and videos.

The victim, a second-year degree student hailing from Pulkal mandal, had arrived at the college earlier in the day. Around 3 pm, two young men wearing masks entered the educational institution, located her on the second floor, and launched an assault.

Although the student managed to break away from the assailants and fled up to the third floor of the building, the two attackers pursued her and continued their assault. When she attempted to dial her father for help, the youths overpowered her, tied her hands with a rope, and stuffed a handkerchief into her mouth to silence her.

The assailants then seized the student's mobile phone and captured photographs and video footage of the assault using the device. They forwarded the visual recordings directly to her father before fleeing the college premises.

Upon receiving the clips, the student's father immediately forwarded them to law enforcement officials. By the time police personnel arrived at the scene, the young woman was found lying unconscious. She was shifted to a local government hospital, where doctors stated that her condition was stable.

According to police officials, the confrontation stemmed from an earlier incident in which an unidentified individual took the victim's phone and transmitted obscene videos to one of the attackers. The assailant had reportedly spent ten days searching for the woman leading up to the attack. Despite her pleading innocence, the youths carried out the assault. Police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing based on a complaint lodged by her family members, and efforts remain underway to trace and arrest the suspects.
