Three Missing Domalguda Girls Traced Safely in Chhattisgarh After Week-Long Search

Three minor girls, aged 17, 16, and 15, who went missing from their residence in Fareed Basti in Domalguda on July 19, have been traced safely in Chhattisgarh after a week-long search, the city police said. The rescue operation involved technical surveillance and the detailed scrutiny of 262 CCTV cameras across multiple transit points.

The family of the girls had migrated from Chhattisgarh to Hyderabad in May this year for livelihood. After frantic searches by the family failed to locate the teenagers, they lodged a missing complaint with the local police.

The police registered a case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. To conduct the search, four special teams were formed, comprising personnel from the Domalguda police station and the Secunderabad Task Force, working under the supervision of senior officers.

Investigators reconstructed the entire journey of the girls through CCTV footage. The trio left their house at 1:47 a.m. on July 19 and travelled by autorickshaw to Kachiguda Railway Station. From there, they proceeded to Secunderabad Railway Station.

After spending several hours moving between Secunderabad Railway Station and James Street, the girls boarded the Dhanapur Express from Secunderabad at approximately 9 a.m. The train journey brought them to Nagpur the following evening.

From Nagpur, the trio travelled by bus to Gadchiroli and later moved to Patanjur village. At Patanjur, they stayed for two days at the house of a person identified as Biswajith.

Acting on technical evidence and investigative leads, a Hyderabad police team, assisted by personnel from the Kanker police station in Chhattisgarh, successfully traced and safely rescued all three girls. During questioning, the girls disclosed to the police that they had left home voluntarily after being scolded by their parents.
