Telangana State Arekatika Sangh Presidential Election Scheduled for October 2, 2026

The Telangana Arekatika Trust and the Telangana State Arekatika Election Committee have jointly announced the schedule for the Telangana State Arekatika Sangh Presidential Election 2026. The polling will take place in Hyderabad on Friday, October 2, 2026, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Results are scheduled to be declared on the same day.
The community is traditionally engaged in the business of butchery, selling goat and sheep meat along with allied by-products. The Election Committee confirmed that the newly elected president will serve a four-year term. The committee stated that the election process will be conducted in a peaceful, democratic, fair, and transparent manner in line with established rules and guidelines.
According to the official schedule, nomination forms will be issued starting September 7, 2026. The deadline for submitting nomination papers is September 12, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations until 5:00 PM on September 15, 2026. The final list of contesting candidates along with symbol allotments will be published on September 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Following the publication of the final list, the Election Committee will provide the final voter list and allotted election symbols to all contesting candidates. Any individual seeking to contest for the post of president must be enrolled in the official voter list released by the committee.
Contesting candidates must have their nomination proposed and supported by two registered voters whose names appear in the official voter list. Aspiring candidates are also required to pay a non-refundable nomination fee of ₹11,000. The Election Committee has instructed all candidates, their representatives, and voters to strictly follow all guidelines and directives issued to ensure the smooth conduct of the polling process.
