Telangana Sets Up New Delhi Helpline for Residents Stranded in Nepal Floods

The Telangana government has activated a Helpline and Coordination Centre at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to assist residents from the State who may be stranded or impacted by the prevailing flood situation in Nepal.
The coordination centre will work directly with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, and other relevant authorities to facilitate necessary support and rescue operations for affected individuals.
Family members who are unable to contact relatives, pilgrims, or tourists travelling from Telangana in Nepal have been urged to reach out to the helpline. To assist officials in locating stranded citizens, families are requested to provide details such as the person’s name, passport number, mobile number, present or last known location, travel or tour operator information, and family contact details.
The State government stated that it is closely monitoring the flood situation in Nepal and maintaining continuous liaison with the concerned authorities. Officials noted that cases brought to the helpline's attention will be taken up on priority.
