Attapur Police Arrest Automobile Thief, Recover Stolen Hyundai i20 and Laptop

The Attapur Police on Wednesday arrested an automobile thief and recovered a stolen Hyundai i20 Asta car and a laptop from his possession in Hyderabad.

The arrested man has been identified as 30-year-old Syed Mazher, alias Takla, a resident of Upparpally in Rajendra Nagar, Ranga Reddy district. According to police officials, Mazher is a habitual offender with a prior record of involvement in several property and bodily offence cases.

The incident took place on August 22 at approximately 11:30 pm. Police stated that the suspect noticed vehicle keys left unattended near a valet counter. Taking advantage of the valet staff's busy schedule, he allegedly snatched two sets of keys.

Mazher then used the remote key signal to locate the corresponding Hyundai i20 in the parking area before driving away with the vehicle.

According to the police, the accused had recently been released on bail but continued to engage in criminal activities. Following his arrest, the vehicle and the laptop were recovered, and further investigation is underway.
