Telangana Recognises CSSH as Official Sports Science Facility for State Athletes

The Government of Telangana has formally recognised the Centre for Spine & Sports Health (CSSH) in Hyderabad as an official Sports Science and Sports Medicine Facility for athletes representing the state. The official recognition was conveyed through a communication from Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to the Department of Sports, Government of Telangana.

The initiative aims to strengthen the state's sports ecosystem by providing athletes with advanced sports medicine, rehabilitation, and high-performance training. As part of the recognition, the government has encouraged CSSH to work closely with the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) and the Young India Physical Education & Sports University, Telangana (YIPESU). This partnership will focus on athlete support, academic collaboration, research, capacity building, and high-performance sports science initiatives.

The recognition followed a visit by Jayesh Ranjan to the CSSH facility. During his visit, Ranjan reviewed the institution's advanced technologies, which are powered by Nordic Health Finland and VALD Performance. He praised the facility's multidisciplinary approach and its international-standard capabilities in sports medicine, rehabilitation, sports science, and athlete performance. Ranjan noted that the collaboration is an important step towards building a comprehensive, athlete-centric support system for Telangana and has the potential to significantly advance sports medicine in India.

Reacting to the announcement, P. Gopichand, Co-Founder and Chief Mentor to CSSH, stated that it is encouraging to see institutions like CSSH bringing advanced technology, objective assessments, rehabilitation, and muscle strengthening under one roof.

Naresh Kumar Pagidimarry, Co-Founder and CEO of CSSH, expressed that the institution is deeply honoured by the state government's recognition. He added that the recognition reinforces their commitment to supporting state athletes through evidence-based sports medicine, sports science, objective performance assessment, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and scientific training.
