Telangana Housing Board Invites Objections on Indiramma Flats Till Sept 4

The Telangana Housing Board has invited public objections against candidates recently selected in the lottery for affordable flats at the government’s Indiramma Housing Towers situated within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits. Citizens have until September 4 to submit objections regarding ineligibility, duplicate entries, or erroneous selections.

Following the draw of lots conducted from August 28 to August 31, the Housing Board uploaded constituency-wise lists of selected candidates to its official portal. The published records include each applicant's name, relative’s name, address, selection status, and locality, with an option tab provided next to each entry to allow the public to file objections.

Housing Board Vice-Chairman V.P. Gautham stated on August 31 that individuals can raise objections if they have verified information that any selected beneficiary failed to meet the required eligibility criteria. The board received more than 60,000 applications for the 7,340 flats available across 16 Assembly constituencies within the ORR limits before conducting the computerized draw.

Under the prescribed eligibility norms, applicants must not have previously availed of similar government housing benefits. Furthermore, neither the applicant nor their family members are permitted to own a house, flat, or plot within the ORR or the Core Urban Region (CURE) area, and they must be residents of the constituency in which they applied.

Field verification of the selected applicants is currently underway by Housing Board officials to confirm adherence to the criteria. Mr. Gautham noted that provisional allotment letters would be issued to the eligible beneficiaries approximately one week after the verification process concludes.

In addition to the ongoing verification and objection process for the initial 16 constituencies, the Housing Board stated that the deadline to submit applications for 1,920 flats across four other Assembly constituencies—L.B. Nagar, Goshamahal, Musheerabad, and Chandrayangutta—is September 3.
