Telangana CEO Announces Special Voter Revision Campaigns on Sept 5-6 and Sept 12-13

Election authorities in Telangana are organising special two-day campaigns across all polling stations in the state for the filing of claims and objections as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, according to a statement issued by the Chief Electoral Officer.

The special drive will be conducted in two spells. The first spell is scheduled to take place on September 5 and September 6, while the second spell will be held on September 12 and September 13.

During these campaigns, citizens seeking to register as new voters, apply for shifting their vote, or request deletions can visit designated locations at their respective polling stations. Residents can verify their details in the draft electoral roll and submit their claims and objections using Forms 6, 7, and 8.

Booth-level officers will be stationed at all polling booths during the designated campaign days. They will review the draft roll alongside Booth Level Agents to identify necessary corrections and proceed in accordance with the guidelines established by the Election Commission of India.

The overall window for submitting claims and objections under the Special Intensive Revision will remain open until September 16.

In addition to the special polling station drives, the standard procedure for submitting claims and objections at the offices of the respective Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) will continue simultaneously throughout this period.
