Teenager Mohammed Faiz Beaten to Death with Sticks in Kalapather Area of Hyderabad

A 17-year-old boy was beaten to death with sticks by unidentified assailants at Shah Tekri in the Kalapather area of Hyderabad's Old City shortly after midnight on Saturday.

The victim, Mohammed Faiz, who was also known as Azaan, was a resident of the Kalapather neighborhood and lived there with his family. The fatal attack occurred in the early hours of the night, following a phone call that the teenager received.

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by the local police, Faiz received a phone call from some persons shortly after midnight. Following the phone call, he left his house to go and meet them.

Upon reaching Shah Tekri, Faiz was confronted by the unidentified assailants. The attackers allegedly beat him with sticks, inflicting severe injuries to his head. Due to the severity of these head injuries, Faiz died at the scene of the attack before any help could arrive.

The Kalapather police reached the spot after being alerted to the incident. Officers shifted the teenager's body to the Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The police have registered a murder case regarding the incident and have officially launched a probe. At present, the police stated that the motive behind the murder of the teenager is yet to be known.

Efforts are currently underway to identify and trace the suspects. The Kalapather police are actively examining CCTV footage from the Shah Tekri area and are collecting other physical evidence from the scene as part of their ongoing investigation.
