Students Clash at JNTU College Hostel in Kukatpally During Teej Celebrations

Tension prevailed at the JNTU College hostel in Kukatpally on Thursday night after a clash broke out between groups of B.Tech students, leaving several students injured.

The altercation took place during Teej celebrations held at the college hostel premises. According to reports, the dispute involved students residing in the Goutami and Manjeera hostels.

The students reportedly formed two rival groups and assaulted each other following an argument over a petty issue during the festive gathering.

Hostel staff on duty immediately intervened and alerted the college principal regarding the disturbance. The principal reached the hostel shortly afterward and reprimanded the students for engaging in violence on campus.

The injured students were moved to a nearby private hospital for medical attention, where doctors administered first aid for their injuries.

Following the incident, the principal directed hostel administrative staff to conduct an inquiry to ascertain the exact reasons behind the clash. The staff were also instructed to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Additionally, the college administration issued a warning to the students, stating that strict disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found involved in such violent activities.
