RTC Driver Dies as Hyderabad Bus Overturns Near Bichkunda

A Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus driver died and several passengers sustained minor injuries after an RTC bus travelling from Hyderabad overturned near Bichkunda in the Jukkal area around 12 noon on Thursday.
According to officials, the bus belonged to the Hyderabad-1 depot and was on its journey from Hyderabad to Bichkunda. While proceeding along the route, the vehicle hit a divider on the side of the road near Bichkunda and subsequently overturned.
The bus driver, identified as Anjaneyulu, became trapped underneath the overturned bus following the impact. He died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident.
A total of 13 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the incident. Officials stated that while all 13 passengers escaped safely from fatal harm, some of them suffered minor injuries. The injured passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed profound shock over the RTC bus accident near Jukkal and stated that he was deeply disturbed by the unfortunate death of the driver. The minister extended his deepest condolences to the family members of the deceased driver, Anjaneyulu.
Following the mishap, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar spoke over the phone with the RTC Managing Director, the District Collector, and the Superintendent of Police to enquire about the reasons behind the accident. Officials explained the details of the crash and the condition of the passengers to the minister.
Prabhakar instructed the authorities to provide quality medical treatment and directed that all necessary medical assistance measures be taken immediately for the injured victims.
Furthermore, the minister ordered that officials led by the Regional Manager should immediately reach the scene of the incident to supervise relief efforts. He instructed the officials to work in coordination, provide all necessary support to the victims, and ascertain the complete details of the circumstances leading to the accident.
