Rs 20 Lakh Worth Gold, Silver, Cash Stolen from Khanapur Temple

Burglars broke into the Sri Sri Sri Pochamma Temple in Khanapur, Hyderabad, shortly after midnight on Monday, decamping with gold and silver ornaments as well as cash from the temple hundi worth an estimated Rs 20 lakh.
During the break-in, the perpetrators intentionally damaged the temple's CCTV cameras in an apparent attempt to destroy video evidence and prevent identification by law enforcement.
Officers from the Narsingi police station rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information regarding the theft. Police personnel secured the premises and launched a official investigation into the incident.
Members of the temple committee expressed suspicion that the crime may have been committed by individuals who were familiar with the temple layout and its surrounding premises. Further investigation by the Narsingi police is currently underway.
