In a statement shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister envisioned that future stars of the Indian national football team will emerge from Telangana, highlighting a vision to support and develop sports talent in Hyderabad and the wider region.

Describing himself as a "die-hard sports and football lover," Reddy recalled his past effort of bringing global football icon Lionel Messi to Hyderabad. During that event, the international star interacted with children from Telangana, which the Chief Minister highlighted as part of his long-term passion for promoting the sport among the youth.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the interaction and continued support for the sport would yield significant results for Indian football. He predicted that the state of Telangana would become a breeding ground for top-tier football talent capable of representing the country on the global stage.

"Mark my word, several of those future stars will be from Telangana," Reddy wrote in his post, urging football fans to enjoy the World Cup final.
