Revanth Reddy Invites Rajnath Singh to Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday and invited him to attend the Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026 and inaugurate the Defence Expo-2026, scheduled to take place at Bharat Future City from December 7 to 9.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the Defence Minister on the objectives of the upcoming global summit and discussed investment prospects in Telangana's defence sector. Revanth Reddy noted that the state government is looking forward to hosting the Defence Expo-2026 in Hyderabad, featuring sessions on aerospace, defence, and space sectors alongside an industrial exhibition, an air show, and live demonstrations of land-based defence systems.

Revanth Reddy sought the cooperation of the Ministry of Defence to organise the event to international standards. He requested airspace clearances for the airshow, the participation of Indian Air Force aircraft, static displays, and performances by the Surya Kiran and Sarang aerobatic teams. The Chief Minister also requested that modern defence systems from the Army, Navy, and Air Force be showcased, with senior military officials attending the summit.

The discussions covered the participation of defence Public Sector Undertakings, including HAL, BEL, BDL, and MDL, as well as Defence Research and Development Organisation laboratories, to display indigenous technologies. Revanth Reddy also sought assistance in coordinating meetings with foreign defence delegations and representatives from international defence bodies.

In addition to the summit, Revanth Reddy updated the Defence Minister on infrastructure projects in the state. He stated that the Telangana government has acquired 750 acres of land for the Adilabad Airport and is in the process of acquiring an additional 750 acres to meet the Defence Ministry’s total requirement of 1,500 acres.

The Chief Minister also announced that the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has agreed to allocate 416.18 acres of land in Devarakadra Mandal of Mahabubnagar district for a Defence Research and Development Laboratory project. The land will be leased for 33 years at a nominal annual rent of ₹1 for the entire parcel, with options to extend the lease twice if required.

Telangana SHAKTI Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy, Members of Parliament M. Anil Kumar Yadav, Dr. Mallu Ravi, Suresh Shetkar, and Porika Balram Naik, along with State Government Advisor (Protocol) Harkara Venugopal, were present at the meeting.
