Ponguleti Clashes With KTR Over Aerospace Venture, Alleges Corruption

Telangana Minister for Revenue and Housing Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday hit back at Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president K. T. Rama Rao in Hyderabad, following the opposition leader's criticism regarding Reddy's family entering the aerospace industry.

The political confrontation began after Rama Rao took a swipe on social media platform X at the launch of Raghava Aerospace & Defence. Rama Rao claimed that after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's brother, the Revenue Minister's family had also entered the aerospace sector, taunting that these ventures were the companies meant to fulfill Rahul Gandhi's promise of providing two lakh jobs. Rama Rao also questioned the financial growth of the leaders' families in a short span.

Responding strongly on X, Srinivasa Reddy accused Rama Rao and his family of corruption, illegal activities, and misuse of power. He mocked the BRS leader by calling his alleged operations the Kalvakuntla Academy of Corruption located at the Erravelli Farm House, labelling Rama Rao as a professor of illegal practices.

Srinivasa Reddy accused the previous administration of being involved in the Globarena paper leak incident linked to student suicides in Telangana, as well as broader examination controversies. He further alleged phone tapping involving Rama Rao's sister and brother-in-law, land grabbing through the Dharani portal, and business dealings with hospitals involving former Health Minister T. Harish Rao.

The minister also questioned how the BRS increased its party wealth from Rs 20 crore to Rs 1,600 crore, claiming the opposition leadership looted public funds to build an empire of farmhouses from humble beginnings.

Defending his own commercial background, Srinivasa Reddy stated that he had been running legitimate businesses for 30 years before entering politics, creating employment and earning money honestly. He claimed Rama Rao had a problem with hard work and legitimate business while condoning illegal wealth.
