Over 150 Illegal Structures Razed in 10 Days Across Cyberabad Municipal Limits

More than 150 unauthorised structures have been demolished across the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation limits over the past 10 days, with 33 illegal buildings razed within the Kukatpally zone alone. The intensive enforcement drive followed official directives instructing authorities to step up action against unlawful constructions, particularly those still under development.

Narsingi and Miyapur have emerged as major hotspots for construction violations during the operation. Together, the two areas accounted for nearly 30 percent of all demolitions executed across the civic body's jurisdiction during the 10-day period.

Demolition figures across the corporation's three administrative zones showed Serilingampally leading the count with 69 razed structures. Quthbullapur followed with 52 demolitions, while the Kukatpally zone registered 33. In Narsingi alone, authorities pulled down 28 structures, nearly matching the total tally recorded across the entire Kukatpally zone.

Civic officials stated that the heavy concentration of violations in Narsingi and Miyapur reflects the pace of rapid residential and commercial development taking place across the western and north-western sectors of the city.

According to officials, many property owners significantly exceeded sanctioned building parameters. Authorities noted that most unauthorised constructions were being erected on plots measuring less than 60 square yards, where permissions restrict height to stilt plus two floors. In several instances, enforcement teams discovered ongoing construction work exceeding five floors on these restricted sites.
