Osmania University UG results delay forces second revision of TG LAWCET schedule

A delay by Osmania University in announcing its undergraduate examination results has disrupted law admissions for the 2026-27 academic year in Hyderabad, forcing authorities to reschedule the Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET) 2026 for the second time in 10 days. The non-availability of degree marks memos, which are mandatory for the online admission process, has left thousands of law aspirants unable to register.

Under the initial TG LAWCET 2026 schedule, the registration and uploading of certificates for online verification for the three-year law course was scheduled to take place between July 5 and July 10, 2026.

However, because students did not receive their degree certificates before the July 10 deadline, officials first extended the registration window to July 20. This extension was granted after Osmania University assured admission authorities that the undergraduate results would be released by July 15.

Despite this assurance, the university failed to declare the results by the revised date. This forced TG LAWCET officials to extend the registration and certificate-uploading deadline for a second time, pushing it to July 28.

To accommodate the affected students, admission officials announced they will temporarily accept internet-generated online marks memos for the provisional seat allotment process. However, candidates must submit all their original documents, including official degree certificates and transfer certificates, at their respective colleges for physical verification after seats are allotted.

According to the newly revised schedule, qualified TG LAWCET 2026 candidates can now register up to July 28. The window for exercising web options will open from July 28 to July 31, with an opportunity to edit choices on August 1.

The list of provisionally selected candidates is scheduled for release on August 5. Those who receive provisional seat allotments must report to their respective colleges with all original certificates for verification between August 6 and August 10.

Officials confirmed that this revised schedule also applies to students seeking admission to the five-year law degree courses.
