Narayanguda Police Arrest Two Men, Recover 19 Stolen Laptops Worth Rs 7.6 Lakh

The Narayanguda police arrested two persons on Thursday and recovered 19 stolen laptops valued at Rs 7.6 lakh. The recovered devices were linked to 16 theft cases registered across the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri police commissionerates.

The suspects were identified as S Vineeth, a resident of Warasiguda, and V Srinivas, a computer salesman who operated as a receiver of stolen goods.

According to the police, Vineeth targeted unattended laptops inside study halls, striking during lunch and dinner breaks when students stepped away from their desks. After stealing the devices, he allegedly sold them to Srinivas.

Police said the duo was involved in multiple thefts reported near KMIT College and the Telugu Academy area. Investigators were able to identify and trace the suspects by analyzing CCTV footage and technical evidence.

Officials stated that cases had previously been registered against the suspects across several jurisdictions, including the Narayanguda, Saifabad, Malakpet, Abid Road, SR Nagar, Nallakunta, and Malkajgiri police stations.
