Mythri Renovates Dilsukhnagar Ganga Theater Ahead of Reopening

HYDERABAD — Film production and distribution banner Mythri is rapidly expanding its theater footprint across the Nizam region, with the renovation of Ganga theater in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. The company acquired the single-screen property on lease and undertook an extensive renovation process, with the venue all set to open its doors to audiences later this month.

The revamp of Ganga theater is designed to replicate the standard established at Mythri's Vimal theater in Balanagar, which is regarded as the best single-screen theater in Telangana. By taking over and upgrading the Dilsukhnagar property, the banner intends to up its exhibition game further across Hyderabad's cinema landscape.

On the technical front, the renovated Ganga theater will feature a massive 68-foot screen powered by an advanced 4K BARCO Laser Projector. To complement the visual presentation, the auditorium has been equipped with a 64 Channel Dolby Atmos Sound system, matching the audio setup that Mythri previously deployed at Vimal theater.

Inside the auditorium, Mythri opted for SR Seats, which are known for their comfort. The management has installed the exact same SR seating across all tiers, ensuring uniform comfort for patrons from Top Class down to Third Class. In addition to standard auditorium seating, the venue will feature 25 Recliner Seats to provide a premium choice for moviegoers.

Vimal theater in Balanagar is currently drawing some of the highest footfalls in the city. With Mythri bringing similar infrastructure and viewing standards to Ganga theater, the move is expected to force other traditional single-screen theaters across the city and Nizam territory to upgrade their facilities sooner or later.

Beyond Balanagar and Dilsukhnagar, Mythri has also expanded its exhibition portfolio by acquiring a stake in Ranga Theater located in Jeedimetla. That property is currently undergoing renovation, with plans underway to install a Dolby Cinema facility. Following Allu Cinemas becoming the third location in India with Dolby Cinema, Ranga Theater is set to bring another such screen to Hyderabad this year.
