Malkajgiri Police Arrest Tent House Worker for POCSO Assault on Minor

The Malkajgiri police in Hyderabad have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in Malkajgiri. The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 26 at an apartment building situated near the area where the child was playing.
The suspect has been identified by the police as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Mallikarjunagar who is employed at a tent house. According to law enforcement authorities, Kumar allegedly called the young girl over with the promise of giving her chocolates before carrying out the assault at the premises.
The incident was reported after the child returned home crying following the attack and informed her mother about what had happened. Upon learning about the incident from her daughter, the mother approached the Malkajgiri police to lodge a complaint.
Based on the complaint, the Malkajgiri police registered a criminal case under the POCSO Act against the accused. Police officials subsequently took Ravi Kumar into custody.
