Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Orders Slaughterhouses, Meat Shops Shut on Sept 4

HYDERABAD — The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has ordered the closure of all sheep, goat, and cattle slaughterhouses, as well as retail meat and beef shops, within its jurisdiction on September 4 to mark Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

MMC Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy issued the directive on Thursday, instructing that all concerned establishments within the municipal limits remain shut for the festival.

In an official press release, the commissioner urged all meat and beef sellers and slaughterhouse operators to strictly comply with the closure directive.

Reddy also instructed relevant municipal officials to monitor the area and strictly enforce the order across the corporation's limits.
