Madhapur Police Arrest 21-Year-Old Hotel Staffer for Bike Thefts

The Madhapur police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a series of two-wheeler thefts reported in the area, leading to the recovery of three stolen motorcycles. The arrest was carried out after police personnel intercepted the suspect during routine patrolling near Ayyappa Society in Madhapur.

The suspect had been working as a front-office boy at a hotel. According to law enforcement officials, he allegedly targeted motorcycles that were parked outside residential houses, hostels, and various other parking areas.

Providing details regarding the suspect's modus operandi, the police explained that he bypassed vehicle ignition locks using electrical wiring. He would approach the parked two-wheelers, remove the ignition plug, connect the wires together, and start up the vehicles before driving them away from the spots where they were left.

The breakthrough in the case came during regular field operations conducted by the Madhapur police. While patrolling the streets, the police team noticed the 21-year-old suspect moving suspiciously while riding a motorcycle in the Ayyappa Society area. Due to his suspicious conduct, officers intercepted him for verification.

During the subsequent interrogation and questioning, the 21-year-old allegedly confessed to the series of two-wheeler thefts. Based on the confessions and specific information provided by the accused, police teams proceeded to search the area near his residence.

The search resulted in the recovery of three stolen two-wheelers that the suspect had concealed close to his residence.

The Madhapur police have taken the three recovered motorcycles into their custody following the operation. Officials stated that a further investigation is currently underway to look into the full extent of the two-wheeler thefts.
