Kishan Reddy Accuses Revanth Reddy Of Collusion With KCR Family

Union Minister Kishan Reddy has accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of maintaining a tacit understanding with former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s family, claiming the current Congress administration has failed to act on corruption from the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regime. Speaking to reporters following a weekend padayatra in the Kacheguda division of the Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency, the minister questioned the state government's silence on past irregularities.
During his address, Kishan Reddy pointed out that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had previously promised the electorate that he would recover Rs 1 lakh crore from K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR) family if the Congress party was elected to power. The Union Minister stated that this promise remains unfulfilled.
He further questioned why the Congress government has not initiated any concrete action against alleged corruption in major projects undertaken during the BRS rule, specifically naming the Kaleshwaram project. Kishan Reddy asked whether the state government lacked the necessary investigating agencies to probe the graft or if it was deliberately choosing to remain silent on the matter.
To protest these failures, the Union Minister announced that he will lead an upcoming two-day "Singareni Bharosa Yatra." BJP MPs, MLAs, and MLCs are scheduled to participate in the campaign, which aims to publicly expose the shortcomings of the state government.
In addition to political allegations, Kishan Reddy highlighted local civic grievances gathered during his tour of the Amberpet Assembly constituency. He noted that residents complained of potholed roads and non-functioning street lights following the onset of the monsoon. Despite officials being informed, no action has been taken to resolve these issues.
He also noted that the public is facing severe shortages of potable drinking water and delays in receiving pensions. He urged officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Jala Mandali to take prompt action.
Furthermore, Kishan Reddy questioned the status of other Congress electoral promises, including the distribution of Rs 2,500 monthly aid to women, Rs 4,000 unemployment doles, scooties for young women, and one tola of gold for newly-wed couples.
