BC leaders demand action against Shivcharan Reddy for insulting Eshwaramma Yadav

On July 12, 2026, Backward Classes (BC) leaders and organisations in Hyderabad demanded disciplinary action against Telangana Youth Congress State president Jakkidi Shivcharan Reddy. The demands follow the leak of an alleged audio recording in which Reddy reportedly disrespected Yadagirigutta Devasthanam Trust Member Eshwaramma Yadav over the omission of his father's photograph from flexies installed in the Mansoorabad division of LB Nagar.
The controversy surfaced on social media, sparking widespread discontent among BC leaders within the Telangana Congress. In the audio clip, Shivcharan Reddy is allegedly heard calling Eshwaramma Yadav's grandson, Suresh Yadav, to object to the omission of his father Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy's photograph from the flexies. The flexies had been put up to mark Eshwaramma Yadav taking oath as a temple Trust Member.
Shivcharan Reddy claimed his family had served the Mansoorabad division for years. In the recording, he allegedly questioned how a widow could put up a flexi in the division and asked how he, holding the third-most important position in the party after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the TPCC president, would answer his cadre. He reportedly demanded to know how they dared to install the flexi without his father's photo.
Shivcharan Reddy also allegedly told Suresh Yadav that he was free to complain to Madhu Yaskhi Goud or Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. He reportedly stated that leaders who frequently changed parties would be questioned and their flexies would be torn down, adding that he had no bosses in the party and worked according to his own will.
The conduct has angered BC Congress leaders, who are now calling on the party leadership to take stern action against Reddy. BC organisations have strongly condemned his behaviour and warned the Congress party of statewide mass protests if they fail to initiate action against him.
