Hyderabad Traffic Police Announce Diversions Near Abid Road ISKCON Temple

Hyderabad traffic police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions around the ISKCON Temple on Abid Road on Friday in view of the Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav. The curbs will remain in force from 4 am on September 4 to 1 am on September 5, depending on the movement and congregation of devotees arriving for the celebrations.

Commuters have been advised to avoid several roads in the vicinity that are likely to witness heavy congestion. These include Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Abids Circle, Chirag Ali Lane, Yousuf & Company, the Old Hyderabad Collector Office, and Nampally Station Road.

Under the traffic plan, vehicular movement from Gunfoundry and Tilak Road Junction proceeding towards Nampally Station Road will be regulated at GPO Junction. If crowd movement increases, vehicles on this corridor will be diverted towards MJ Market. Similarly, traffic approaching GPO Junction from Jambagh Road and S.A. Bazar Mosque will be regulated and, if required, diverted at MJ Market towards Gandhi Bhavan and Chapel Road.

Vehicles moving from Taj Island, Nampally, towards Koti Bank Street will be directed to continue via Bharat Petrol Pump, Samachara Hakku Bhavan, Yousuf & Company, and Troop Bazar. Traffic coming from the BJP State Office will be diverted towards MJ Market Road instead of moving towards the Old Hyderabad Collector Office Junction.

Authorities stated that RTC buses travelling on surrounding routes will also face diversions based on prevailing traffic conditions.
