Hyderabad Police Announce Traffic Diversions for Saidabad Flyover Launch

The Hyderabad traffic police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions along the Nalgonda X Road to Owaisi Junction corridor in Saidabad and Santosh Nagar for Thursday between 2 pm and 7 pm. The measures have been introduced to manage vehicular movement ahead of the inauguration ceremony for a new flyover bridge along the route.

According to the traffic police advisory, the road stretch between Saidabad Y Junction and Nalgonda X Road will remain completely closed during the event hours. Commuters have been advised to avoid travelling along the Nalgonda X Road to Saidabad Y Junction route throughout the five-hour window, as heavy vehicular congestion is expected on surrounding streets and nearby junctions. Police stated that traffic movement will either be stopped or redirected across several key intersections to maintain order and minimise disruptions.

Under the diversion plan, vehicles travelling from Nalgonda X Road towards Saidabad Y Junction, Santosh Nagar, and IS Sadan will not be allowed along the direct corridor. Instead, traffic will be diverted at Nalgonda X Road towards Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh X Road, and Gaddiannaram X Road. From there, motorists can proceed via Gaddiannaram, Raghavendra Tiffin Centre, Shiva Ganga Theatre, Hanafiya Mosque, Sankeshwar Bazar, Singareni Colony, Onus Robotic Hospital, Champapet main road, Champapet X Road, Laxma Reddy Garden, and the DMRL Rotary.

Motorists moving from IS Sadan X Road towards Saidabad Y Junction, Chanchalguda X Road, and the Fire Station with plans to proceed towards Nalgonda X Road will face diversions at Saidabad Y Junction. Traffic on this route will be routed towards the DCP-III Office, Saidabad Law & Order Police Station, Saraswathi Nagar Kaman, Sankeshwar Bazar, Indian Petrol Bunk, Hanafiya Mosque, Gaddiannaram X Road, and onwards to Nalgonda X Road.

Diversions will also be enforced for traffic emerging from Old City areas. Vehicles moving from Mirchowk towards Saidabad Y Junction via the Dabeerpura Bridge will be redirected at the Tribunal Court (APAT). These vehicles will be rerouted towards Dabeerpura Kaman, Shaik Fayaz Kaman, Ganga Nala, Bada Bazar, Yakutpura RUB, 82 Bus Stop, Madannapet Mandi, and Santosh Nagar Main Road.

Meanwhile, vehicles travelling from Dabeerpura Kaman towards Chanchalguda X Road and Malakpet will also be diverted at the Tribunal Court (APAT). Motorists on this route will be directed to travel via Darulshifa Ground, Success School, SJ Rotary Chaderghat, and onto Malakpet Main Road. Traffic authorities have urged the general public to plan their journeys in advance and follow the designated alternative routes during the diversion period.
