Hyderabad Hosts Paropakar 2026 Art Exhibition To Fund Underprivileged Education

Art Connect presented Paropakar – The Art of Giving 2026 in Hyderabad, bringing together artworks to raise support for the education of underprivileged children. Curated by Sushma Thota, the exhibition showcased works by prominent Indian artists, combining philanthropy with art accessibility.

The initiative built on the response to the previous edition of Paropakar, where both original paintings and prints were made available. Sushma Thota noted that offering affordable reproductions enabled younger and first-time buyers to purchase art and contribute to the charitable cause.

To make art collection more accessible, this year's showcase intentionally shifted focus toward reproductions, including prints, serigraphs, and selected sculptures, supported by partner galleries.

The featured lineup included celebrated names in Indian art, such as SH Raza, Akbar Padamsee, Anjolie Ela Menon, Himmat Shah, Krishen Khanna, Seema Kohli, and Thota Vaikuntam. Highlights included works from Seema Kohli's Golden Move series, pieces by Anjolie Ela Menon, colourful works by Akbar Padamsee, and selections from Thota Vaikuntam's mother-and-child series.
