History-Sheeter Khaja Sohail Stabbed to Death Near Pallecheruvu in Mylardevpally

A 26-year-old history-sheeter was stabbed to death by two assailants near Pallecheruvu in Mylardevpally during the early hours of Wednesday following an argument over monetary issues.

The deceased has been identified as Khaja Sohail, a resident of Mylardevpally. According to police officials, Sohail had a criminal history sheet opened against him in 2020 and had previously been named as an accused in multiple criminal offences, including an attempt to murder, theft, and a ganja peddling case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The incident took place at around 2:30 am on Wednesday at an open area situated close to Pallecheruvu in the Mylardevpally neighbourhood. Investigators stated that Sohail had gathered at the location with two associates to consume liquor together.

While under the influence of alcohol, an altercation broke out between Sohail and the other two individuals. Police suspect that the confrontation began over personal matters and disputes regarding money.

As the argument escalated, the two accused began physically assaulting Sohail. During the scuffle, both individuals drew weapons and attacked him violently.

According to a Mylardevpally police officer, both of the accused pulled out knives from their pockets and stabbed Sohail multiple times. Sohail sustained severe injuries, collapsed on the spot, and died before any medical assistance could be provided.

Local residents who noticed the commotion alerted the authorities. Teams from the Mylardevpally police station quickly arrived at the scene to secure the area and initiate preliminary inquiries. The police then shifted Sohail's body to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Following the incident, the Mylardevpally police registered a case against the two suspects under Section 103 (1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
