Gachibowli Police Register Case After Detecting Fake Registration Plate on Car

The Gachibowli Traffic Police have registered a criminal case after detecting a car plying with a fake registration number plate during a drunken driving verification drive in Gachibowli.

The matter came to light when traffic police officers stopped a vehicle for checking in connection with a drunken driving case. During the initial physical verification, the car was found displaying the registration number plate TS 08 JY 1202.

To verify the authenticity of the vehicle, the Gachibowli Traffic Police examined the Registration Certificate presented for the car and cross-checked the details by physically inspecting its engine number and chassis number. This cross-verification revealed a major discrepancy, establishing that the vehicle's genuine original registration number was TS 11 EZ 3815.

According to statements released by the police, the car was deliberately being driven on public roads with a forged registration number plate to conceal its original identity and successfully evade legal action from traffic and law enforcement authorities.

Based on these findings, the Gachibowli Traffic Police lodged an official complaint with the Gachibowli Police Station. Upon receiving the complaint, the Gachibowli Police Station formally registered a criminal case against the offender for further legal proceedings.

Police officials confirmed that a further investigation into the incident is currently underway. Investigating officers are working to ascertain the precise motive behind using the forged number plate, as well as checking whether the vehicle had been used or involved in any other offences.

In light of the case, the Gachibowli Traffic Police issued a firm warning and cautioned all motorists against using fake, modified, or tampered registration number plates. The police department emphasized that strict legal action will be initiated against any violators caught using illegal plates.
