Former Bengaluru Software Engineer Dies by Suicide in Peerzadiguda Lake

A former Bengaluru-based software engineer allegedly died by suicide after jumping into a lake in the Peerzadiguda area of Hyderabad early Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified by police as Tejaswini, the daughter of Vakkulagaddi Eshwar Rao and Aruna. The family are natives of Devapalli village in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh.
Tejaswini had been staying with her mother in a rented house at Shankarnagar Colony in Peerzadiguda, while her father lived in Visakhapatnam. She had previously worked as a software employee in Bengaluru but resigned from her job six months ago.
According to reports, Tejaswini and her mother spent Friday evening searching for a new house in Miyapur, as they were planning to relocate from Peerzadiguda.
Police stated that at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Tejaswini locked her mother's bedroom door from the outside, picked up a saree, and ran onto the streets naked. CCTV footage from the locality reportedly showed her stopping at the Berappa Temple to offer prayers before continuing to run toward the Peerzadiguda lake, where she allegedly jumped in.
On Saturday morning, Aruna woke up to find herself locked inside her room. She shouted for help, prompting neighbours to arrive and open the door. After discovering her daughter was missing from the house, Aruna began a search. Tejaswini's body was later found in the lake.
Personnel from HYDRAA and the Disaster Response Force (DRF) retrieved the body from the water. Police have registered a case and shifted the body for a post-mortem examination.
According to the police, Aruna stated that her daughter had been suffering from mental health issues and frequently experienced disturbing dreams. Investigators said they are looking into the case from all angles, and the exact reason behind the incident will be determined once the investigation is complete.
