Cyberabad Police Constable Suspended for Objectionable Social Media Remarks

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh suspended an Armed Reserve police constable on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, for allegedly making objectionable remarks against a public representative on social media. The action was announced through an official press release issued by the Cyberabad police.
The suspended personnel is a member of the 2018 batch of the Armed Reserve. According to the department, the constable came under departmental scrutiny after senior police officials discovered that he had posted objectionable comments targeting a public representative across social media.
Following the identification of the posts, disciplinary action was initiated against the constable in accordance with prescribed service rules. Officials stated that he was placed under suspension because his actions brought disrepute to the image and reputation of the police department.
Commissioner Ramesh emphasised that police personnel are obligated to uphold discipline, professional conduct, and dignified behaviour at all times. He further advised members of the force to exercise responsibility and restraint while using social media platforms.
The formal suspension order was executed following the findings, concluding the initial departmental review into the constable's online conduct.
