Cyberabad Constable K. Anil Suspended Over Remarks Against Public Representative

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr M. Ramesh has placed an Armed Reserve (AR) constable under suspension for allegedly posting objectionable remarks against a public representative on a social media platform.

The suspended officer has been identified as Constable K. Anil, a 2018-batch Armed Reserve personnel. Although attached to the Cyberabad Armed Reserve, Anil had been posted at the Hyderabad City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters under an “order to serve” arrangement.

According to police officials, the matter came to light after the constable allegedly published objectionable comments targeting a public representative online. Taking serious note of the behaviour, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner ordered formal disciplinary proceedings against him under the applicable service rules.

Commissioner Dr M. Ramesh emphasised that every member of the police force is required to maintain strict discipline, professional conduct, and a respectful demeanour. He stated that police personnel must exercise restraint, caution, and responsibility whenever they use social media.

The Commissioner further reiterated that police officers must ensure their online activities and posts do not bring disrepute or embarrassment to the department, warning that breaches of conduct would invite disciplinary action under service regulations.
