Cyberabad AR Constable Suspended Over Social Media Remarks Against Public Representative

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr M. Ramesh has placed Armed Reserve constable K. Anil under suspension for allegedly posting objectionable remarks against a public representative on social media.
The suspended personnel, K. Anil, is a 2018-batch Armed Reserve officer. Although affiliated with the Cyberabad Armed Reserve, he had been serving at the Hyderabad City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters on an “order to serve” arrangement.
According to police officials, the disciplinary issue surfaced after Anil allegedly shared comments targeting a public representative across a social media platform. Upon learning of the online activity, senior department officials brought the matter to the attention of Commissioner Dr M. Ramesh.
Taking serious note of the conduct, the Commissioner initiated formal disciplinary proceedings against the constable under the applicable police service rules, culminating in his suspension from active duty.
Dr M. Ramesh stated that members of the police force are obligated to uphold high standards of discipline, professional conduct, and a respectful demeanour at all times.
The Commissioner stressed that police personnel must exercise restraint, caution, and responsibility whenever they use social media platforms. He noted that officers and personnel are expected to conduct themselves appropriately online and ensure that their personal posts and internet activities do not bring disrepute or negative attention to the police department.
