CMC Demolishes 25 Unauthorised Structures Across Cyberabad, 7 in Kukatpally

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) continued its enforcement drive against unauthorised constructions on Wednesday, executing 25 demolitions across its jurisdiction, including seven in the Kukatpally zone.

The operation was carried out as part of the civic administration's ongoing measures to ensure strict compliance with statutory building regulations. In addition to pulling down the unauthorised buildings, the municipal corporation served notices to four structure owners during the course of the drive.

The enforcement drive was initiated based on observations and findings from field-level inspections conducted by CMC enforcement teams. These dedicated inspection squads carried out ground checks across various localities to verify construction permissions and identify properties built without the necessary municipal approvals.

During Wednesday's inspection rounds alone, the enforcement teams detected 21 unauthorised constructions that have now been marked for further regulatory action by the municipal authorities.

The demolition operations were carried out across the corporation's three administrative zones. Among the three jurisdictions, the Serilingampally zone accounted for the highest number of actions, with municipal teams demolishing 10 unauthorised structures. This was followed by the Quthbullapur zone, where eight illegal structures were brought down. In the Kukatpally zone, enforcement personnel completed seven demolitions during the drive.

The civic administration emphasized that the demolition drive remains an ongoing effort to curtail unauthorized developments and ensure that building works conform to municipal planning standards.

Addressing the findings from the field checks, the municipal corporation stated that further action is already being prepared against the remaining violators. "Cases identified during the inspections are being processed for further action in accordance with prescribed procedures and applicable building regulations," the CMC said.
