Car Set Ablaze Outside Businessman's Office in Bowrampet

Tension prevailed in the Bowrampet area of Hyderabad after unidentified persons allegedly poured petrol on a car parked outside the office of businessman Narsareddy Veerareddy and set it ablaze on Thursday night.

Veerareddy, who is the brother of TPCC vice-president Narsareddy Bhupathi Reddy, reportedly had a narrow escape during the incident. He was present inside his office premises at GPR Layout when the fire was started outside.

According to preliminary information, the unidentified individuals approached the office premises, doused the parked car with petrol, and ignited the blaze. Veerareddy noticed the flames from inside the building and immediately raised an alarm, which prompted the suspects to flee the scene.

The incident has raised concerns and questions over whether the perpetrators intended solely to destroy the vehicle or if they had targeted the people present inside the office premises.

There are also suspicions that the attackers may have carried out a recce of the location prior to executing the attack, although law enforcement authorities have not yet officially confirmed this.

Upon being alerted to the incident, the Bachupally police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage collected from the office, GPR Layout, and neighbouring areas to identify the suspects, determine the exact number of people involved, and track their escape route.

Police officials are also examining potential business rivalries, previous enmity, and other personal or financial disputes in an effort to establish the motive behind the arson.
