Bandaru Dattatreya Inaugurates Advanced Wound Care Centre in Hyderabad

Former Haryana and Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya inaugurated the Advanced Wound Healing and Limb Salvage Institution in Hyderabad on Monday. The specialized medical facility is dedicated exclusively to advanced wound care and limb preservation, addressing what doctors described as a growing burden of diabetic foot disease.
The institution was established by Advanced Wound Healing (AWH) Clinics and founded by advanced wound surgeon K.V.N.N. Santosh Murthy. It will provide specialized care for patients suffering from diabetic foot disease, chronic non-healing wounds, burns, traumatic injuries, and other limb-threatening conditions.
At the inauguration, doctors highlighted the rising impact of diabetic foot complications and emphasized that most diabetes-related amputations can be prevented through early intervention and timely medical care.
In addition to clinical services, the institution launched a public awareness campaign called Happy Feet. The initiative aims to promote preventive foot care, encourage early diagnosis of foot-related complications, and reduce avoidable amputations.
