A 60-year-old man, identified as Narsimha, was hit and killed by a speeding auto-rickshaw on Monday while crossing the road near Hydernagar in the Kukatpally area of Hyderabad. The fatal accident occurred during the day, resulting in the immediate death of the pedestrian at the scene.

According to the local police, the accident took place when Narsimha was attempting to cross the road near Hydernagar. A speeding auto-rickshaw collided with him, causing him to sustain severe physical injuries. Due to the intensity of the impact, Narsimha died on the spot before any medical help or emergency services could arrive to assist him.

Following the fatal collision, the local police arrived at the accident site to conduct preliminary inquiries and manage the scene. The body of the deceased victim was subsequently shifted to Gandhi Hospital. At the hospital, a post-mortem examination will be performed to determine the official details of the injuries that led to his death.

The entire incident was captured on a nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera. The recorded footage clearly shows the speeding auto-rickshaw hitting Narsimha as he crossed the road, providing the police with a visual record of the fatal crash.

The police have officially launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident. Investigators are currently reviewing the CCTV footage from the camera near Hydernagar to understand the events that transpired. The investigation is aimed at determining the factors that caused the speeding auto-rickshaw to strike the 60-year-old victim.
