33 Passengers Escape Unhurt as Hyderabad-Bound Tourist Bus Catches Fire

Thirty-three passengers had a miraculous escape after a private tourist bus in which they were travelling caught fire in Anantapur district early Friday. The incident took place while the bus was en route to Hyderabad from Bangalore.

A major disaster was averted due to the alertness of the bus driver. Upon noticing the flames, the driver immediately raised an alarm and instructed all the passengers on board to quickly disembark from the vehicle.

All 33 passengers managed to get off the bus safely before the flames could completely engulf the entire vehicle. No injuries were reported in the incident.

After receiving information about the fire, emergency services deployed a fire-tender to the location. The personnel battled the blaze and successfully brought the flames under control within an hour.

Firefighters said that efforts were ongoing to collect additional details from the bus driver to determine the exact cause of the fire.
