Zen Technologies Unveils CITADEL Anti-Drone System for Critical Infra in Hyderabad

Hyderabad-based defence technology company Zen Technologies has developed an indigenous anti-drone system designed to protect critical infrastructure, including data centres and semiconductor fabrication plants, from emerging unmanned aerial threats.
The system, named Critical Infrastructure Threat Detection & Electronic Layer (CITADEL), has been built as a customised counter-unmanned aircraft solution. It targets high-value facilities that increasingly support artificial intelligence, cloud computing, government digital services, and digital commerce.
According to Zen Technologies, CITADEL provides a dedicated security framework covering the detection, identification, tracking, and neutralisation of unauthorised drones. The platform can be configured to match a facility's specific threat profile, geography, airspace, physical layout, existing surveillance network, and security protocols, enabling operators to integrate the platform directly with broader physical security operations.
The system is equipped to offer drone detection at ranges of up to 5 km through continuous wideband radio-frequency scanning across the 400 MHz to 6 GHz spectrum. To counter incoming threats, it delivers omni-directional jamming up to a range of 3 km, designed to disrupt drone command links and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals at the same time.
CITADEL also incorporates multi-target and swarm detection capabilities to safeguard infrastructure during coordinated drone attacks. The company stated that the entire platform is engineered for round-the-clock, all-weather operations using an indigenous architecture.
