World Music Day Celebrated at Akan Hyderabad with Threeory Band Performance

A diverse crowd of families, friends, and children gathered at Akan Hyderabad for 'Soul, Unplugged', a multi-activity event organized to celebrate World Music Day. Held from the late afternoon into the evening, the celebration brought together people of different generations through a shared musical journey, live performances, creative workshops, shopping, and dining.
The event began as attendees filled the venue, with groups of friends claiming corners overlooking the lake while children explored the stalls. The program officially opened with a reflective semi-classical dance performance by the AYA Club, setting a quiet, artistic tone for the evening.
The atmosphere shifted quickly when Threeory Band stepped onto the stage. The band delivered a versatile performance, moving effortlessly between different languages and genres. Their setlist included popular tracks such as "Snehithudaa", "A Thousand Years", and "O Cheliya Naa Priya Sakhiya", drawing warm applause from the crowd.
The performance attracted listeners of all ages. Younger attendees gathered near the stage to sing along, while older guests connected the familiar melodies to personal memories. One regular attendee of Threeory shows commented that this specific performance was extraordinary, taking them on a "magical, mystical journey." Another guest noted that they enjoyed shopping, eating food, and hearing one of the best musical sets in Hyderabad, wishing only that the event had lasted longer.
In addition to the music, the venue hosted a bustling marketplace. Visitors browsed through stalls selling books, artisanal teas, sustainable fashion, and handcrafted accessories. Nearby, adults and children participated together in hands-on block printing and 3D toy printing workshops.
Priyanjana Roy Das, the founder of Late Checkout, shared that the most memorable moments came from watching people connect. She praised the venue's lakeside view, the sold-out room, the band's performance, and the hospitality and food at Akan Hyderabad. The evening concluded with growing applause and requests for encores from the crowd.
