Woman's Decomposed Body Found Inside Car Boot in Elkathurthy

The decomposed body of a 33-year-old woman was found inside the boot of a car in Elkathurthy on Thursday night.

Locals alerted the police after noticing a foul smell emanating from the stationary vehicle. Following the alert, Inspector Puli Ramesh and his team reached the spot, opened the car, and discovered the body inside the boot.

The deceased was identified as Ankathi Manasa, a resident of Centenary Colony in Rathnapur village located in Karimnagar district. Police established the identity of the car, which bore registration number TS 03 FF 8094, tracing ownership to T Sadanandam of Elkathurthy village.

When contacted by police, Sadanandam, who was in Hyderabad, stated that he had handed the car over to his son, Surender. Surender had reportedly rented the vehicle out to a man named A Bhaskar Reddy. However, police learned that the car was being used by Bhaskar's brother, A Vinod Kumar, who works as a software employee.

According to police investigations, Vinod and Manasa were childhood classmates and longtime friends. Their fathers had previously worked together for Singareni Collieries in Godavarikhani, where the two families lived as neighbours.

Police said that Manasa was divorced and had been living with her parents in Karimnagar. Following his father's retirement, Vinod's family shifted to Elkathurthy village, while Vinod had been staying in a rented room in Karimnagar for the past eight months. Investigators noted that Manasa and Vinod were in a relationship and met frequently at his rented accommodation in Karimnagar.
