Woman Murdered in Balapur, Body Found Stuffed in Gunny Bag

A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her partner following an argument over marriage at their residence in Bismillah Colony, Balapur, in Hyderabad on Monday morning. The suspect reportedly stuffed the victim's body inside a gunny bag before fleeing the scene.
The victim has been identified as Rehana, and the suspect has been identified as Mohammed Salam. According to the police, both individuals were natives of Bihar and had been residing together in a rented accommodation in Bismillah Colony.
Preliminary inquiries by the police revealed that Rehana and Salam were in a relationship. For some time, Rehana had reportedly been pressuring Salam to marry her, which led to frequent disagreements between them.
Investigators suspect that a fresh altercation broke out over the same issue on Monday. During the confrontation, Salam allegedly attacked Rehana with a knife, stabbing her to death on the spot.
Following the fatal attack, Salam reportedly packed Rehana's body into a gunny bag, left it in the bedroom of the house, and escaped from the locality.
The incident came to light later in the day, after which the Balapur police were alerted. Police personnel reached the spot, secured the crime scene, and initiated a detailed investigation into the murder.
Police teams have been formed to track down and apprehend Mohammed Salam. Officials stated that further details, including the precise sequence of events leading up to the killing, will be established once the suspect is taken into custody.
